Kelly began her professional career in Austin, Texas in 1981 by working at the Texas School for the Deaf where she became fluent in sign language.
She worked her way through school and although it took her 10 years, she finally received her degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1990. Hook 'em.
She has been an independent consultant for years; yet, her right brain has nagged her relentlessly to blend more of her creativity with servant leadership and business.
With MyTie - tie one on®, she wanted to help resolve the difficulty she was having in fastening necklace clasps in back of her neck (think age and nails).
She wanted the solution to be built into a unique style that was all part of the necklace, not designed as a separate gadget. She worked on a prototype with her daughter
one day when her daughter was home from school. Kelly remembers it as a bonding moment; her daughter doesn't remember it at all. Soon after that, in the middle of the night,
(for real) "MyTie - tie one on®" came to Kelly and she knew she had the name for her necklace.
MyTie - tie one on® is a caused-based business and gives Ms. Vidovic the opportunity to contribute to different non-profit organizations about which she cares deeply.
A portion of all proceeds benefits different causes listed on her website.
Kelly proudly bases her business in Austin. This allows her to contribute to and volunteer in local causes. She is working to make her MyTie - tie one on® endeavor one
that will encourage people everywhere to embrace their entrepreneurial sides and never give up on their dreams to do what they love and to help others.
